An Unforgettable Reception
After a hectic day at work I met my future husband for our first date at a coffee shop.
It was apparent we had both had one of those days so we opted to go to the The Glenmore Hotel for something ‘a bit stronger’.
The conversation flowed easily and were both very relaxed in each other’s company and it wasn’t long until we shared our last first kiss together with the light of Vivid in the background.
Soon we were travelling overseas together mostly Asia as we both enjoy the culture. It became apparent we both enjoyed the quieter side of Bali and it became an annual holiday with a few spots a must on every visit.
It was on one of these trips to our favourite restaurant (and after 6 months apart due to military deployments) that we got engaged. Just over a year later we said our “I Do’s” and became husband and wife.
Our unforgettable reception was held on Glass Island and could not have been a better night, everything ran like clockwork and the captain even obliged us with a front row seat to the Darling Harbour fireworks.
All the guests were in awe of the night and the compliments and comments kept coming weeks after the event.
You could not ask for a better reception venue than Sydney Glass Island.

A lifetime of love!
We met when we were kids. I used to spend every school summer holiday at my grandmother’s place in the beautiful part of the western Ukraine.
There was a boy there who lived close by. Every summer we used to play together on the streets of my grandma’s village. We also used to fight, as kids do however when we grew older we became very good friends. I could feel that this boy was very much in love with me, however, as life often happens, I fell in love with his best friend. He had never interfered with my relationship as he could see me being quite happy. He kept his feelings to himself. For as long as I remember him he had always been my best friend, my sole mate. He made me laugh, I could cry on his shoulder when I needed, he could listen to my endless stories & always be there for me.
I ended up living in Australia for the last 25 years. We lost touch with each other but when my life suddenly hit rock bottom he appeared in my life again, Like an little angel came from the sky. He gave me strength, he gave me courage, he helped me through the hardest of times. I fell in love with this man for his genuine qualities & his sincere personality. I can’t imagine now my life without him. He had finally admitted that he had always loved me since he was a kid. I had confidently replied that I will love & cherish him for ever.
We had a fairy tail wedding on the Sunday 26/02/2017 on board Sydney Glass Island. It was absolutely magic, like a dream! The way we always wanted. It was just a perfect beginning of our life together as a couple & we very much look forward to sharing it together as a husband & wife.
